From Love to Aloof
Honestly, I debated how to start this blog multiple times. Whether I should dive right in. Should I go from beginning to end, or the opposite? The truth is there isn’t an end. Do I tell you where it is now? How I expect it to end?
So… here it goes.
I’ve been with my husband, Keith, for eighteen years. We’ve been married for eight of those. I met him at fifteen years old and thought he was the love of my life. This isn’t me saying I don’t love him. I do. I’m just not in love with him. Yes… There’s a difference. At fifteen, you don’t know what love is. Really, I don’t think you ever know what it is until you find it. My husband isn’t abusive. He isn’t really mean either. In reality, I couldn’t tell you the exact moment I gave up, but I can tell you how I got where I am now.
That’s what this story is. The love that I lost, because it was there once. Even if I try to deny that now.
